Minnesota Timberwolves and Lynx

On and off the court, the Minnesota Timberwolves and Lynx exemplify teamwork and commitment. Their support of charitable causes creates a winning environment.

Glen Taylor, owner of Minnesota Timberwolves, Minnesota Lynx, and Taylor Corporation, and his wife Becky, were the 2018 Federated Challenge honorees.

“I’d like to say that Becky and I are honored by this recognition,” Glen said in his address. “But as much as we are honored this evening, I admire those who have served as Big Brothers and Big Sisters over many years. To me, they should be the ones who are honored."

“The Federated Challenge, similar to the Taylor Foundation, provides a pathway to education. That is why the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Lynx have been strong supporters of the Federated Challenge since the very beginning."

“Many children in Minnesota need our help and support,” Glen said. “Mentoring makes a huge difference. Each contribution matters and will impact a child’s future. How do we know this? Because both Becky and I have spent a lifetime mentoring young people who have wanted and needed further education. And we have seen the results. We are very fortunate to have had good mentors who helped us along the way.”
